Here’s one that’s designed to look like the cabinet next to it. Kitchens are a really great place to put in a hidden door due to the trim work that’s already there with the cabinets. We put in trim to help disguise the door to the closet that’s tucked in under the stairs. The family had a very small entry with no room for a proper mudroom. This time of year Halloween candy comes immediately to my mind as something that could use a hidden compartment. In addition to appealing to your romantic, I’ve-got -a-candle-where-is-this-breeze-coming-from-in-a-closed-room side, they are also incredibly useful to hide things that you don’t want to see all the time. I think they delight the inner child in us and odds are, you probably have somewhere in your home where you could put one.
